32 Bangladeshis detained during the Benapole border crossing

Special Correspondent:  Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members have arrested 32 Bangladeshi women and children from Benapole border area during illegal entry into India. However, the BGB could not arrest any smugglers. They were detained from the Balur Math area of ​​the Benapole Daulatpur border early Sunday morning.

Among the arrested are two children, three women, two eunuchs and three men. Their homes are in Bagerhat, Moralganj, Khulna, Satkhira, Madaripur, Gopalganj districts.

Selina Akhter of Khulna detained said that, she had gone to India illegally to seek treatment for her husband. On their way back, they were arrested. Raju of Moralganj police station in Bagerhat district said that, he went to India to work for the family in lack of service. The BGB detained them after returning from work for two months.

Subedar Mofazzel Hossain of the 21 BGB Daulatpur camp said, according to secret news, it is known that some people were staying in the Daulatpur Balur Math area after entering Bangladesh from the Indian border. They were arrested on such a raid. He said many of them were entering Bangladesh illegally after receiving treatment and some worked in the country. The detainees were also handed over to Benapole Port Police Station. Benapole Port Police Station SI Pintu Lal confirmed the incident and said the detainees were sent to Jessore court.
